Mobile Homes Along the Coast. Oil on Canvas infused with found and harvested objects by Alann Boatright. All Rights Reserved. This painting depicts turtles hatchlings being helped to water to ensure their success. It is estimated that only 1 in 100 will survive. The painting is infused with real sand, shells, plastic, shells, sea glass, and glass beaded waves making this painting a learning experience for young and old.
I started painting when I was 8 years old. I did not take art classes until I was in my junior year in high school. I went to Colorado Institute of Art after high school for graphic design. I worked for the Air Force as a Technical Illustrator for 14.5 years, and have owned my own businesses ever since. I have never had formal training in the art of painting and have taught myself with trips to galleries, libraries, and around the world, all the while keeping my eyes and mind open for new ideas and concepts. I love to create art that causes people to react unexpectedly. To laugh out loud and call another friend over to see it is to me, pure success. I paint the world in bright cheery colors and infuse my painting with found and harvested objects I find as I wander around the streets of this world. Each painting has a story, a message, and I love to tell each and every visitor about them like an old grandfather talking about his great grand children. I never tire of making people smile.
