ENDANGERED: Fine Art & Photography Contest 2019 Submission
Original Diptych Painting- inspired by a visit to Loxahatchee National Wildlife Preserve. I am passionate about raising awareness of the issues that threaten both the survival of the Everglades and the sustainability of the marine life of our oceans. My recent series, GMO, Genetically Modified Objects, of manipulated digital Radiographs (x-ray), an Art-Science collaboration, is an environmental commentary on the alterations being created by technology and humans.
I am also inspired by the incredible visual landscape of the Everglades and I paint to celebrate its beauty. Hopefully my art will inspire appreciation and concern about the long-term survival of this ecosystem.
By sharing my personal vision and emotion in art, I hope to broaden the appreciation of the challenges we face about the world and the environment.
