Rhinoceros have been evolving for over 55 million years. Though born in captivity the last two northern white rhinos that will ever exist have been moved to Kenya and are protected 24/7. I named the most recent rhino sculptures Najin and Fatu to honor them. I wanted to reflect Najin'ss strength and elegance. Her stance is stoic yet peaceful. She is embellished with hundreds of animals pearls jewels buttons and crystals.

Rhinoceroses have the most incredible skin. Every wrinkle crevice and mark are testament to the centuries they have been on this earth. Oh what we could learn from them about this planet and our evolution if we shared the same language. In this image I hoped to capture the history of the rhino.
