Being able to blend these two loves into a career as a fine artist is what I consider a dream livelihood. My Father was a modern day Mountain Man, leading the family on adventures and teaching them a reverence for nature. I spent and continue to spend countless hours at Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle observing and communing with the animals there. My constant goal is to honor the animal I’m painting in the manner it deserves; to elevate its position beyond a mere critter into a spectacular creation of Mother Nature.
