SUBMISSION: BORNEO BIRDWING BUTTERFLY BY HOLLY WINTERS

Two canvases of an endangered Borneo Birdwing butterfly by Holly Winters. Black upper wings and yellow lower wings with black veins. Holly says "I am interested in butterflies. I paint them in a minimal style to emphasize the pattern of the wings. I combine colour tones from the butterfly photos downloaded from the internet to the background of the painting to give a uniform design. This particular butterfly painting is derived from an endangered Borneo Birdwing butterfly photo. It is only located in the mountain forests of Borneo."
