No Hunting Wildebeest by Jen Walls from North Carolina - inspired by stumbling across wildebeest horns on ebay. Watercolor, ink, acrylic, ephemera on paper. "My art originated several years ago through the Zentangle gateway. It didn't take long for patterns to become incorporated in many of my pieces, which are often begin with watercolor and ink. Tribal patterns, Mayan glyphs, Japanese kimono patterns, ancient markings and botanical designs influence much of my work. In this piece, "No Hunting Wildebeest", there are a myriad of African tribal tattoos. I was inspired to make this piece after stumbling across wildebeest horns on ebay, and felt great concern over the impact of internet commerce on animal trade."
