Joan Sharron is an artist based in Southern California who was trained in a number of mediums, including photography, drawing, watercolor, oil and acrylic painting, and mixed media. Most recently, Joan's focus has been primarily on mixed media, creating artful compositions using paper she made, which is cut, torn, and collaged together, sometimes accompanied by watercolor, drawing, or photographic images. She loves photographing and painting animals, capturing their unique personalities, and enjoys creating new and different worlds on her canvas, depicting life on land, beneath the sea, and in the sky.
