ENDANGERED: Fine Art & Photography Contest 2021 Submission
Polar bears are listed in Appendix II of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, and listed in the 2008 Red List of Endangered Species ver 3.1-Vulnerable (VU) by the World Conservation Union (IUCN). Many people may not know that many polar bears who are good at swimming have died because of drowning. The Arctic, which was originally extremely cold, can even reach 32°C in the summer of global warming, and the ice has begun to melt in large areas. Polar bears are homeless, tired and hungry, and glaciers are disappearing faster. They don't know where their homes are? Some experts predict that if this continues, polar bears are likely to go extinct within 40 years. As the environment continues to deteriorate, not only animals will suffer, but humans will also be catastrophic.
