ENDANGERED: Fine Art & Photography Contest 2020 Submission
I was raised in Brooklyn, New York in the 1940s and 50s; but, felt more a cowboy than kids raised out west. My TV heroes were Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, Hoppie, and the Lone Ranger; and, in those westerns of the 1950s, John Wayne, Randolph Scott, and Gary Cooper.
I received my Medical Degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1969; completed my Internship and Residencies in General Surgery and Urology by 1974; and, then served as a Major in the United States Army Medical Corps. Several years ago, after 50 years in Medicine, I retired. I am now able to devote more time to my passion of western painting.
I am a completely self taught artist. I have won juried acclaim in the New York area; however, I hope, now with more time, to exhibit my work out west. I have been accepted to participate in the prestigious Phippen Museum 45th and 46th Annual Western Art Show.
