ENDANGERED: Fine Art & Photography Contest 2020 Submission
I work primarily with oils, beginning a piece with a wash of bright color then applying an accurate sketch of my subject, sometimes evolving into a detailed grisaille by removing paint with a cloth. I use thick brush strokes of vibrant color to draw you in to this image of blurred lines and bold texture. I strive for you to be intrigued when examining my paintings closely, exploring how my coloring outside of the lines leads to discovery of my intentions.
