ENDANGERED: Fine Art & Photography Contest 2019 Submission
Sea otters have been endangered since the 19th century when they were almost hunted to extinction. They are currently protected under the Marine Mammal Protection Act. Although they are now safe from hunters, there are still many threats. One threat are oil spills. Oil sticks to their fur and takes away their layer of air to keep them water. I want to bring awareness to sea otters with this painting.
