ENDANGERED: Fine Art & Photography Contest 2018 Submission The Checker Mallow is indigenous to the mountains of WA State. it is slowly going extinct & hurting the mountain ecosystem. I chose it because it has an effect on my local community. I came up with the name Check Mate because it is being whipped out like a king in chess.
