An endangered Yunnan Monkey sits under the forest of a conservatory. Ignoring the existence of the observers. It's hard to believe that only 17 families of these monkeys are in the wild.

ENDANGERED: Fine Art & Photography Contest 2022 Submission

The Black-and-white snub-nosed monkey is an endangered specie that can be found in only two regions in China--Yunnan and Tibet. The photo is taken in a conservatory in the mountain of Yunnan, with a 75-200mm lens. It is heartbreaking realizing that the creature in this photo might go extinct. Habitat loss is the main cause of endangerment; and while we cannot reverse the damage, there's still a chance to spread awareness and improve the current environment. Our next generation might still have a chance to see these creatures if we can spread awareness of the issue.
