The Xerces Blue Butterfly went extinct in the 1940s when the sand dunes were destroyed to create San Francisco, California. It existed in a few different colors. This one is a replica of the tan, brown, and blue.

Conrad was a mountain lion that I photographed and painted many a time. He was set to be euthanized . He kept getting too close to a school in L.A. Lions Tigers and Bears rescued him and gave him a forever home till he passed recently at the end of last year 2022.

The Monarch butterfly carving is a tribute to everyone's favorite, the Monarch Butterfly. The monarch Butterfly is listed as endangered by the International Union for Conservation. Genetically modified crops, the elimination of milkweed, and climate change are the main reasons for its decline.

This artwork shows the bond which isn't unique to humans. Hopefully it will also help people connect to the animals. We are not that different from eachother and the orangutans deserve to be saved. The artwork was made using mixed media techniques. First a highly detailed pencil drawing was made. The color is painted digitally. After printing. The leaves were gold embellished. Unfortunately the reflection of the intricate gold lines are not visible in the picture.

"First Light" was created as a way to highlight the hope and beauty of a new beginning. A small fraction of turtle hatchlings survive their journey to the ocean due to predators, light pollution, and poaching. This painting serves as a reminder to always persevere against all odds.
