This painting was inspired by being drawn into the beauty of Alaskan glaciers. To see and feel the beauty but then to see the evidence of global warming and the rate they are disappearing is a wound - hence Glacial Tears. The reflection lines have a hint of red to add weight like tears of blood.

I've always been inspired by how animals are seen in the eyes of children. A young girl and her friend (the Humpback) having fun swimming underwater and enjoying the scenery.

Children are so loving and have such a vast imagination. The inspiration for my paintings comes from children's love for animals and how they carry that love over the years!
I believe this is such an important way for the new generations to help and preserve our wildlife.
In this picture, I painted a little girl with her buddy(the grizzly bear) having an adventure on a rustic boat, staring at the beautiful ocean view.

A white rhino calf will stay with its mother for about three years. Until that time the calf relies on her for protection against predators, mostly lions and hyenas. White Rhino calves generally walk in front of their mothers who gently guide them with their horn.

Making art is one of the things that help get me through life; ever since I was a child, I have doodled and played with art, but it wasn't until 2015, when I sustained a life-changing injury, that I took up Art on a more regular basis by starting with a Diploma in Art and Design.
My professional background was as a vet nurse in animal rescue centres. I would love to be able to make a difference in the world through art like I felt I did with nursing.
During the pandemic, as we were all locked up, I felt this pull to do something for animals, so I started a series of paintings on endangered species for those that can’t speak for themselves.

It is important to protect and preserve these species for the sake of biodiversity, ecological balance, and future generations. We need to promote conservation efforts, raise awareness, and implement stricter laws to prevent further harm to these vulnerable creatures. Let's work together to ensure a sustainable and harmonious coexistence with our fellow beings on this planet.

Under the sea awaits another world rich in vibrant beauty and magic, a hypnotic watery paradise. The ebb and flow gently push and pull as I hover, entranced by this exquisite sea turtle. His wise old eyes take in mine, unafraid and contemplative as he glides by the coral reef. Sold, prints available.

While vacationing in Rocky Point, Mexico, my husband and I decided to take a boat charter out to San Jorge Island, or Bird Island. Climbing into the boat we experienced a long and rough ride out yet arriving made worth it. Jagged whitewashed peaks climbed out of the ocean, white from the enormous amount of exotic birds, including marine swallows, red billed tropicbirds, and brown pelicans that call this island home. More exiting to me were the more than three thousand sea lions that also share this ocean wonderland.
As we arrived, the captain asked if we wanted to get into the small inflatable kayak and join these playful sea lions and seals. It was February and cold, so was the water, and I hesitated. At the urging of my husband, I climbed in and boy was I glad I did! Rowing over to them, many became very curious, barking, and surrounding us. They followed us each way we turned as if wanting to play, swimming all around and under us. I yearned to reach out and touch, yet they stayed just beyond my fingertips. Gazing on shore, upon the rocks were more than I could begin to count, basking in the sun. Some of the enormous bulls can reach a staggering 2200 pounds! I must return in the summer and snorkel with my new friends. After an exciting and delightful time with these wonderful sea creatures, we returned to the boat, but our adventure was not over. On our journey back, several times we observed black fin whales cruising the open sea as well!
