ENDANGERED: Fine Art & Photography Contest 2017 Submission.
Coelacanth by Celeste Pe. All Rights Reserved.
I chose a coelacanth because when I was younger I was obsessed with them. My mother would print out articles about them for me to read which is what first taught me about what being endangered meant and how pollution is killing sea life. Although the coelacanth was thought to have gone extinct 65 million years ago, and wasn’t rediscovered until recent years, it is still at risk from pollution in its waters.
