Africa Revisited was inspired by numerous media reports of wildlife trafficking and poaching in Africa. The series pulls together images from the years Kaufman lived in southern Africa and to explore a line between representation and abstraction. The acrylic paintings aim to raise the awareness of Africa's diminishing wildlife population and draw attention to the disappearance of keystone species.
