SUBMISSION: Tarsier over Tokyo by Sarah Hauser
Tarsier over Tokyo, water based woodblock print by Sarah Hauser. The submitted print was part of an international print portfolio exchange of the woodblock group Baren. There were two themes: self-portrait and tree, and we were to combine these in any way we wished. “As I seem to be in a constant state of astonishment at the world around me, I have always felt an affinity with the large-eyed tarsier. The tarsier's dexterous hands make it possible for them to be able to maneuver even on very smooth branches, as pictured here. These little creatures are generally found in Borneo, Java, Sumatra and the Philippines, but I seem to have woken up in Tokyo.”
