These pieces are an examination of the threatened environments in which I have lived in most recently. From the Rocky Mountains to the Atlantic Ocean, the flora and fauna are endangered for the sake of man’s consumption and entertainment. The use of bright color combinations is inspired by the juxtaposition of the natural occurring environmental beauty with the brightly colored, man-made materials, which often pollute these same environments. The stylized versions of the subjects represent mankind’s footprint in each ecosystem.
