Red is the bridal color in many eastern and tribal cultures. This headpiece has various shades of red, two veils and flowers and flower petals. My one-of-a-kind hats are the result of a lifetime in art and fine craft design. My new hats feature hand dying, hand pleating, hand collected feathers, embroidery, and many surface design techniques. My experience with fiber was enhanced this year through a fabric surface design workshop with Susan Lentz and one-on-one full studio days with British milliners Bobbi Heath, Judy Bentinck and Bridget Bailey in London.
