I am no wordsmith, so art has become the best way in which I can express myself. I have come to realize that it is an all consuming force in my life. Which is why I made the decision to turn art in to a career. As a graduate of The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale I am a Freelance Graphic Designer, however the fine arts will always have a large part of my heart. I am often asked why I would use Gouache, as many people seem to find it hard to work with. It started in my Color Theory class as a requirement and quickly became my only medium when using a paint brush (I also use pastels, but in that case I skip the use of a brush). Gouache is a nice median between oil and water color and I find it easier to blend, faster to dry and over all more enjoyable to use than the other before mentioned mediums. Both birds and flowers are nature's gifts to an artist; they come is in the most amazing shapes and colors. It would almost be a crime not to paint them and so I have.
