My husband and I have been to Africa and seen these (elephants) in their habitat. I fell in love with their majesty. Recently I witnessed via TV how familial these animals are. How strong their bonds to family are and the reverence they pay to their deceased. My first in a series of endangered African animals was Ricky. Named after Ricky Gervais who has demonstrated his concern for this and other endangered species.
