This is a painting of one of the four orangutans at our local zoo. Her name is Melati, and she is an excellent ambassador for her species. Orangutans have an uncertain future, and as the only great ape species to live in Asia, they are very special among primates. This orangutan, named Melati, located at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo in Indiana, is an excellent ambassador of her species, and will always have a place in my heart.
