SUBMISSION: Lunchtime by Pamela Valvano Gibson

Lunchtime by Pamela Valvano Gibson. All Rights Reserved. Wakodahatchee Wetlands is 50 acres of constructed wetlands in Delray used to recycle treated water from the Palm Beach County Reclamation District. In addition to its original purpose, it has become a highly successful wildlife habitat, attracting more than 150 species of birds, as well as mammals, amphibia, and reptiles found in a healthy South Florida freshwater wetland ecosystem. These purple gallinules were having a busy morning pulling up and feasting on young pickerel weed shoots.
