"This piece illustrates the desolation left by deforestation.  Everything is lifeless except for the lonesome tiger in a jar.  The tiger is becoming another specimen to be looked at and admired by others from a time gone by.  There is both beauty and sadness in the piece as well as hope, resembled by the tiny butterfly and the parrot on the tree stump."
