SUBMISSION: Homeless by Tabitha Benedict-Aaron
Homeless, acrylic and light moulding paste on canvas by Tabitha Benedict-Aaron. "Using texture to tell the story of the gibbon gives this piece a unique sculptural feel. Perfectly adapted to life in the trees and rarely descending to the ground, these endangered primates are among the most threatened on earth. “Art is not what you see but what you make others see.” Degas
Although I love to paint realistically I try not to capture every detail, to me it’s more about the emotion and the feeling a painting delivers. Since I can remember I have always been attracted to painting and drawing Wildlife. I feel the need to show an animals beauty and uniqueness and help tell their story. Experimenting with color, texture, shading, pattern and shapes is how I bring their story to life. I use mostly acrylics and occasionally oils when it comes to the final touches."
