Slab built red clay with black slip. When you read most artist statements, people are very philosophical about their work. I just like to go play with my clay. Sometimes I’ll say to my husband “I’m going out to the studio for a bit,” and I’ll be out there for hours. In the 70s I did a few very large stained glass domes, the largest, 20’ in diameter and 8’ high. Now I like to do small clay sculptures. I also occasionally do paintings, prints, and stained glass work. I’ve been fortunate in having a supportive family and community.
