SUBMISSION: Glimpse of Gorilla by Shanna Love
Glimpse of Gorilla by Australian photographer, Shanna Love. Mountain Gorilla portrait taken in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda. Shanna says "We all show character, emotion, and affection. Sometimes you just need to spare enough time observing to notice even the most insignificant creature can communicate without words. For the past six years I have been taking photographs of the animal kingdom. After completing a Diploma in Photography I spent 12 months in Africa building my portfolio. While there I was unbelievably lucky in witnessing some once in a lifetime wildlife interactions. Surrounded by people passionate about wildlife conservation and photography I realised I had a style that focused on the expression rather than the species. My images took on a theme of their own and I subconsciously built a body of work that revolves around the emotional rather than the technical aspects.
It is my hope that my images can bring awareness and assistance to conserving the amazing wildlife the world has to offer before our children not longer have the opportunity to enjoy them." Please take a look at her website www.lovewildlifephotography.com
