I often try to paint with a limited palette to capture fauna and flora with the camouflage and habitat of their surrounds.  Feathers and fur are wonderful!  Multiple photographs are used to compose a narrative scene capturing mood and color.  My love of the outdoors takes center stage and sometimes a dynamic day or night sky provides tone for the background.  Golden sunrises or a contrasting shadowy sunset plays on the elements of many of my sometimes-comical composition.

Each painting should make the viewer pause and inject his own storyline to the scene captured in a single frame. I continue my art education almost daily via online.  I love to watch other artist paint.  Developing a background in art history is essential to see what paintings survived the wrath of critics and the attention of collectors.
