SUBMISSION: The essence of a leopard by Joseph Anthony

ENDANGERED: Fine Art & Photography Contest 2017 Submission.

The essence of a leopard by Joseph Anthony. All Rights Reserved.

With these leopard images, as you make eye contact with their penetrating gazes, it should beg the question "who is really endangered when it comes to the survival of a species"? 50% of our oxygen comes from forests and 50% from the oceans. Big cats are known as apex predators or umbrella species. This means that if we protect the umbrella species and by default its habitat, we automatically protect the many other species and bio diversity coexisting within the same habitat. Save big cats and we ultimately save ourselves. I hope my work inspires an appreciation for the beauty of our world, to help draw attention to the fragility of our planet and the need to protect all living things.
