This Gorilla was on a rock looking as though he didn't want to be disturbed and in my opinion he was pondering life. Their central African forests are disappearing which puts them at risk of extinction.

I am an observer of nature with a fascination of geology, topography and clouds. Growing up with black and white film cameras, I like the simplicity of various shapes, forms and textures at play between light and shadow in black and white photography. As a photographer my goal is to impart a feeling or an emotion for the viewer to get a sense of nature through my eyes and my lens.
