Curiosity. Painting by Young Artist, Gavin Minard, aged 13 years. All Rights Reserved. The Japanese Macaques are very unique. They enjoy soaking in the snowy mountain "hot springs" of Japan, and this is what my painting captures. I was fortunate enough to meet one at a local animal rescue for monkeys. She was curious and peaceful.
They are definitely one of the most interesting endangered species of monkey on the planet!
