SUBMISSION: In a Cold Sweat by Corey Schumann
This piece represents a day in the life of a Leopard. Thinking about Leopards I tend to think of the challenges day to day this animal faces. The trees blow away like dandelions and the shadows get closer. The Leopard knows it must be strong and wise. I am a contemporary wildlife artist. I create thought provoking wildlife art for passionate conservationists who are seeking an edgy and colorful design for the animals they love and support.
My art is abstract. I enjoy putting issues and challenges wildlife face down on a page and most of my inspiration comes from these issues as well. Issues like deforestation, canned hunting, trophy hunting and other things like poaching all need to be addressed to be changed even just a little, and that is the goal through my art. To give people a reason to care and to more importantly give people inspiration to make a change.
