"My goal in the Tropical Rainforest series of paintings is to approach and reawaken a buried impression of eternal beauty in Nature. This is not a new idea, perhaps it is one of the oldest. What inspires my work is that with skill and precise observation these impressions of the awe inspiring beauty of Nature will do more to preserve endangered natural resources and species than many other pleas for help. Tropical Rainforests are exuberant,breathtaking and endangered. In painting them, I realized that their beauty is a manifestation of hidden natural repetitive forms. The paintings do not attempt to be exact replicas of what is there but rather to reflect the natural order of forms and light that I discovered.
