SUBMISSION: Bonelli's Eagle by Marc Armengol
Bonelli's eagle represented in a mediterranean environment, in the cliffs and canyons of the Montsech range area in Catalonia,(north east of Spain). This is a painting about the locally endangered raptor of my area, the Bonelli's eagle, this eagle has his breeding territory around an area where i usually go for observe the wildlife, and take photographs. This eagle is one of the few species of raptors that still i cannot observe directly in his own environment, due to the scarce number. In a rare occasions I see this eagle with the binoculars on his flights. His status in Europe is in danger, 768 pairs in Spain, where it is more abundant ,the rest of the European population lives in the canyons of south east of France, in Greece and Bulgaria.
