With my art I seek to inform, teach and generate interest in our natural environment and wildernesses. I have spent a lifetime searching swampy back roads, deserted islands and the ‘otherworlds’ of the sea.  Searching, though I never really thought about what it is I am looking for -  but I always find something! The tropical Floridian wilderness is where I find the colors, forms and especially the textures that I eagerly share with my audience. The adventures I have embarked upon in these wilderness areas have not only inspired my artwork visually, but has also lent me so many stories to tell.

My wish is that my work will help inspire people to go out and seek a personal relationship with their own natural environments.  I hope that my artwork will give value to these places, protecting and cherishing these treasures, in an age where they can disappear quickly, quietly and forever.
