ENDANGERED: Fine Art & Photography Contest 2021 Submission

Growing up on the east coast of Florida around sea turtle nesting sites, I have experienced the beauty of these creatures first hand. Sea turtles are a part of our local ecosystem, and we have learned how to live with them and help them survive. This piece and the color choices bring attention to the plight of the sea turtles, and the scene could be a sunrise or a sunset based on the viewer's interpretation. A new beginning or an imminent ending, either one the future of the sea turtle, and we as humans may be choosing their fate.
