The Red Crowned Crane is named after its head with a red meat crown. It is a unique bird species in East Asia. Because of its elegant posture and clear color, it has the meaning of auspiciousness, loyalty and longevity. There are about 1500 red crowned cranes in the world, and China has the largest number, with more than 1000. Since East Asia has a demand for red crowned cranes' feathers and organs since ancient times, hunting is difficult to avoid. In addition, after the 1960s, the destruction of wetlands by human activities increased sharply in northeast China and the Far East, their nest materials and shelters were seriously destroyed. In the picture, one red crowned crane was trapped by human being and desperately screaming for her coming death.
