ENDANGERED: Fine Art & Photography Contest 2021 Submission

The organization that this contest supports -- the Center for Great Apes -- is such an incredible place, that wouldn't exist if it weren't for two equally amazing individuals: Patti Ragan (whom I had the privilege of meeting at 2019's exhibition), and Pongo. Pongo is the Center's very first ape, who has escaped a life in entertainment thanks to Patti Ragan. He is such a magnificent animal, and I couldn't resist sculpting him, as a 2D form wouldn't do him justice. I hope to visit him and the other apes at the Center in the near future.
