ENDANGERED: Fine Art & Photography Contest 2021 Submission

Dr. Jane Goodall has been my idol for as long as I can remember. Her field work with chimpanzees inspired me to become passionate about conservation and animal welfare at a young age, and it was an absolute honour to meet her in 2018. I did this piece for my final culminating project in my last high-school Visual Art class, and is my first attempt at realistic sculpting. It was so much fun working on something so meaningful to me, and will be a piece that I cherish forever.
