ENDANGERED: Fine Art & Photography Contest 2020 Submission

My painting is of an Indian Elephant It’s oil on canvas with crystals.I was inspired to paint this after learning that in India it is a costume to paint on actual elephants.I thought this quite beautiful as the flowers painted on them show a contrast to their tough skin.Hence showing how this majestic Animal can be beautiful and tough looking at the same time.They are a “Diamond in the rough” The crystals enforce this sentiment.They must be protected from poachers who selfishly kill them for their ivory tusks!
