ENDANGERED: Fine Art & Photography Contest 2020 Submission

This is a portrait of a gorilla captured at the Toronto Zoo (2020). I decided to transform the image into black and white in order to bring out deeper emotion. Though its true emotions cannot be determined from view the smile on the face of the ape provides much comfort and joy.
