ENDANGERED: Fine Art & Photography Contest 2020 Submission

This is a portrait of a gorilla captured at the Toronto Zoo (2020). I decided to transform the image into black and white in order to bring out deeper emotion. The ape was staring through the glass of the exhibit into the eyes of those who looked at her; her true thoughts hidden from view.
