ENDANGERED: Fine Art & Photography Contest 2020 Submission

My life as an artist has been spent drawing and painting, usually inspired by the ocean and animals.

From realism my work has evolved into a more surreal, semiabstract style. I place my ideas into a personal symbology, putting them into a cohesive context within the parameters of a painting. My challenge is to incorporate these symbols into a design that will direct one's eye around the piece, while providing an image that can be read by the viewer, with or without understanding the references.
