ENDANGERED: Fine Art & Photography Contest 2019 Submission

Gorillas, like other great apes, are among our closest living relatives. Science has shown that in many ways, these apes are capable of thinking, acting, and emoting just as we do. Oftentimes these animals are more human than we tend to accept. If we choose to look carefully, we can relate to our relatives in deeper ways beyond the mere biological connection. Art is one means of achieving this.
