ENDANGERED: Fine Art & Photography Contest 2019 Submission

"Monarch butterfly chrysalis. Quirky by nature and whimsical by intent, my life is colorful, usually energetic, occasionally explosive, as is my art which I create to selfishly entertain myself and hopefully to entertain others. I delight in taking a common object and giving it a new perspective, emphasizing the abstract, causing the viewer to pause and question, ""what was she thinking?".

I work with a limited palate, most of my efforts are involved in the concept/composition, far more my focus than is technique with the brush.

My goal with my work is to cause the viewer to question/think/engage about todays world, the way we live, the food we eat, our changing environment. I use size, color, contrast or subject to command attention, hence my concept has no boundaries.""
