ENDANGERED: Fine Art & Photography Contest 2019 Submission

FIRE is one of a series of Narrative Fiber Paintings considering global warnings which can be hung or worn. The availability to wear the piece allows one to ""embrace"" this issue. The reds and black make reference to the current fires in The Rain Forests which have a profound impact upon not only the habitats and the life it supports, but on the human condition as well. . In my practice as an artist I am constantly seeking new techniques and materials as my voice. As a painter and weaver, combining the two concepts opens my creative journey to new paths of expression.
