SUBMISSION: Eye Of Horus by Daniel Vidaillet
ENDANGERED: Fine Art & Photography Contest 2018 Submission One-of-a-kind avian sculpture of the Sky God. The body is fabricated using additive and subtractive techniques. Includes found objects and more than 500 upcycled knives spoons and forks; each manually shaped TIG welded and textured. The tree trunk is made with MIG welds delivered at various temperatures to achieve the desired texture and color. The title of the piece 'Eye of Horus' has very unique symbolism in ancient Egyptian mythology. in this case the left eye of the Horus which represents the power of 'healing restoration and protection'. I can think of no better title for this entry to the ENDANGERED Fine Art & Photography Contest.
