SUBMISSION: NOT PRETTY IN PINK by Dorothea Talik
ENDANGERED: Fine Art & Photography Contest 2018 Submission.
This painting was inspired by an online article that was photo-shopped to show Endangered Rhinos and Elephants with their tusks dyed pink. This practice is not being done presently but the idea was to prevent poachers from killing these beautiful creatures. I painted Mother and child from a reference photo taken by my daughter on photographic safari in the Serengeti last winter.
NOT PRETTY IN PINK... if only!
