ENDANGERED: Fine Art & Photography Contest 2018 Submission.

Using black charcoal as a medium provides me with a beautiful way to dig in to a subject and explore its attributes in its most pure and raw form. The reductive method I use allows the subject matter to gradually emerge to the forefront and speak out as the work evolves.
